Camosun to deliver new culinary arts program with Songhees Nation

The provincial government announced in the last week of March that $665,000 would go toward starting up a new Aboriginal Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Tourism Management program at Camosun College. The program will be a partnership with Songhees Nation and delivered at the college.

Camosun to receive $500,000 for trades

More than $1 million is going to be provided for trades-related equipment and technology at Vancouver Island post-secondary institutions. The money is part of $5.4 million the provincial government is putting toward trades equipment at post-secondary institutions throughout BC.

Financial scholarship award available to students

The Knowledge First Financial Graduate Scholarship Award—given by Knowledge First, a Canadian education savings plan distributor and investment fund manager—includes a top award of $15,000; it’s available to any student who is starting the first year of their full-time program in September and is within three years of graduating with a degree or diploma.
