The clinic is a partnership with Island Health and will give Diagnostic Medical Sonography students experiential education.

The clinic comes from $1.2M of funding from the provincial Ministry of Health. It will have two general ultrasound rooms and two echocardiogram rooms; four students can be trained at once. In a press release, Island Health says it expects to expand diagnostic ultrasound services by approximately 5,000 general ultrasound exams and 3,000 echocardiogram exams annually at Campus Ultrasound.

The clinic will begin receiving patients on Monday, February 6.
