The Sylvia Platters
Youth Without Virtue
(Independent)
4/5

As soon as I started listening to Youth Without Virtue, the new EP from Fraser Valley-based dream-pop band The Sylvia Platters, I knew I was listening to something amazing. The band’s songs are, seriously, such hidden gems. They have an incredible, very daydreamy, feel and sound to them.

The five songs range from light-hearted dance pop to chill study music that is more focused on instrumentation and harmonies.

I can picture any of the five songs from Youth Without Virtue in an up-and-coming indie-movie soundtrack. You can tell there’s a personal touch in each of the tracks.

The songs just have such a sweet sound and this EP is a memorable moment in music right now with its gentle vocals and impressive instrumentals. I’ve already added all five songs to my “summer nights” playlist.
