As a long-time staple of the Los Angeles punk rock scene, The Last Gang’s newest and third album Noise Noise Noise has been highly anticipated. This album features 10 punk songs that channel the band’s anger towards the ongoing pandemic that has taken lives and cancelled their 2020 tour.
The title track is an excellent album opener, capturing the essence of punk rock that the band carries throughout the rest of the album. The combination of powerful lyrics, Brenna Red’s dark and gritty voice, loud guitar riffs, and fast tempos make this album a punk success.
While the album has classic shouted punk vocals throughout, these songs have a pop undertone to them, especially “Shameless” and the album’s finale, “To the King.” I think this takes Noise Noise Noise to the next level.
Overall, the punk rock and pop vibes in each song make this a catchy album that you can rock out to whenever.
