Camosun College was recently informed by Island Health that there was a COVID-19 exposure at its Interurban campus.
The exposure occured on Thursday, April 1 in the John Drysdale Building. Island Health contacted Camosun on Friday, April 9 about the exposure and the college issued a public statement that day about the exposure. Island Health has started contact tracing to identify those who had a high-risk exposure, and those people are being contacted by Island Health; those who are not being contacted are not considered high-risk and do not need to isolate.
Out of caution, the college has since used a Clorox 360 disinfecting machine on the entire building, according to its statement.
