Myopic & At the Graves
A Cold Sweat of Quiet Dread
(Grimoire Records)
4/5
Get ready for some of the best doom music around with the release of the collaborative album A Cold Sweat of Quiet Dread by Washington, DC progressive doom trio Myopic and Baltimore’s one-man sludge/doom band At the Graves on Grimoire Records.

First, the variety of tunes on this album is fascinating. There are many transitions between fast and intense moments and slow but melodic parts, making the tracks more interesting to keep listening to.

In addition, the overall tone is also one of the key factors making this album great. There is a dark, gloomy, and mystical atmosphere, which fits the doom genre.

Finally, the talent of the artists is undeniable, with fast, melodic guitar riffs, a solid rhythm from the bass and drums, and powerful and smooth vocals.

Overall, I highly recommend A Cold Sweat of Quiet Dread for the excellent transitions between sounds and the overall tone of it.
