Spokane, Washington-based deathcore band Enterprise Earth’s 2019 album Luciferous was great. The shows supporting the album were cancelled due to COVID-19, but the virus can’t prevent the band from releasing new material in the form of the Foundation of Bones EP.

With its five tracks, Foundation of Bones is peak deathcore. The opening title track is powerful and intense; their versions of Lamb of God’s “Now You’ve Got Something to Die For” and Necrophagist’s “Fermented Offal Discharge” are perfectly covered as tributes to Enterprise Earth’s inspirations.

The acoustic version of Luciferous’ “There Is No Tomorrow” brings out a melody amongst all the intensity, creating a short break in the EP. Last but not least, the instrumental version of the title track is dynamic and filled with energy, which is a good way to end Foundation of Bones.

Overall, this EP is well done, and metal fans looking for new music this summer should definitely check it out.
