Texas-based death metal band Creeping Death just released their debut full-length album, Wretched Illusions, after four years of releasing demos, EPs, and singles. “Heavy,” “headbanging,” and “brutal” are words to describe this album and this band.

The title track starts off the album on a really brutal tone. As the listener goes through Wretched Illusions, the hellish world of death metal opens up. With the band using blast beats, fast guitar work, and intense vocals, listeners will feel like they are being blasted by a huge tornado.

This album also shows that Creeping Death can handle some different styles, changing from furious, neck-breaking death/thrash like old-school Sepultura to a much heavier death metal sound reminiscent of Bolt Thrower, which brings back the old-school death metal vibe Creeping Death does so well.

I highly recommend this for those who love heavier music. Wretched Illusions is one of the most promising death metal albums of 2019.
